In the foreground, a female singer with long black dreadlocks, a white blouse and black trousers can be seen singing into the microphone in her hand with her mouth wide open. Behind her is a group of singers - at first glance most of them are identified as female - whose bodies are in motion, snapping their fingers or clapping their hands. The 25 or so members of the choir project A Song for You all wear black and white clothes in different styles. They stand in a room with an exposed concrete wall, a transparent white curtain at the window, a grey floor and are illuminated by small ceiling spotlights.

A Song For You presents »UNRAVEL a return to self through collective expression«

If A Song For You are going to take the stage, it better be a big one. This very special ensemble consists of a fluctuating lineup of around 60 singers as well as a band that emphasises the collaborative spirit of Berlin’s neo-soul/R&B/hip-hop scene. Noah Slee and Dhanesh Jayaselan created the project to promote the undiscovered voices of Berlin’s soul scene and to provide a platform to give visibility to underrepresented talents from various artistic media. A Song For You offer an incredible live performance experience as unique vocal ensemble enhanced by dancing, storytelling and visual installations.
