Crack Cloud

The output of Crack Cloud could be compared to reading a Nabokov novel: lots of stylistic ideas, ingenuity, and an unabashed arrogance that reveals brutal truths about the human condition. You could also say that their music likes to transcend the boundaries that post-punk has set for it. Drummer and frontman Zach Choy’s seven-member collective from Canada create smooth, cinematic music for dreamers that sounds both like street romance and a seedy cruise on the sea of alternative pop. Their latest album »Tough Baby« could even be the brilliant answer to The Pogues, The Blockheads, Roxy Music or Armand Schaubroeck – that is, if Crack Cloud wanted to answer to anyone at all.
