A woman and two men pose for the camera in front of an off-white background. The band Dina Summer is dressed completely in black. The woman in the middle wears a white, flared collar over her black dress and her brown hair in an updo. She sits on a stool in front of the other two, has her right hand resting in her side and the other on her legs that are bent to the side, and she puts her feet in black trainers up on her toes. The one at the back right with short hair has his arms crossed and is wearing a black shirt, sunglasses and moustache. The other one, also with short brown hair, has a black T-shirt on and his arms behind his back.

Dina Summer

Two synthesisers, one microphone. Pounding disco beats under rattling bass sequences. A sound with roots in Italo disco, new wave and punk, combined with the electroclash of the noughties: Dina Summer breaks with sluggish conventions and catapults us directly into a new era of dark disco. Behind Dina Summer are Kalipo, who as a member and producer of the electro-punk band Frittenbude has been working the big and small stages of Germany for more than a decade, and DJ duo Local Suicide, who have been touring clubs worldwide for years, consisting of Munich’s Max Brudi aka Brax Moody and the Greek Dina aka Vamparela, who gives the trio a voice with an unmistakable accent in spoken word – sometimes in English, sometimes Greek, sometimes German. Together, they create a beguiling stage presence whether in the club or at a festival.
