Sho Madjozi
Sho Madjozi is one of South Africa’s most dazzling stars, in recent years having earned a loyal following that continues to grow globally. In her tracks, the rapper loudly and proudly incorporates her experiences in her home province of Limpopo as well as her cosmopolitan upbringing. Fusing different languages (Tsonga, English and Swahili), different genres (gqom, Afro-pop, amapiano and hip-hop) and styles (traditional Xibelani clothing and sneakers), Sho pays homage to her Tsonga heritage, which she combines with global perspectives. Her 2018 debut album »Limpopo Champions League« has won her numerous awards, and her 2019 single »John Cena« has since been viewed 25 million times on Colors x Studio, catching the attention of Missy Elliott, Beyoncé and Ed Sheeran and even the wrestler himself. She is releasing her new album on Epic Records as the first African artist on the label’s roster in the USA.
