»Russia is a terrorist state« is the name of one of TUCHA’s most popular songs, which the Ukrainian released last year. Even before she started dealing with the war in her art, Maria Tuchka, the mind behind TUCHA, was combining dark electro-pop and EBM as well as Ukrainian and English lyrics. The Kyiv producer, singer and art director has played big festivals, won awards and received press accolades for her »Toxic« EP and artistic videos. Now I live and create songs and videos in Ukraine during the war while Russians want to destroy my country,« says the musician, who is also an activist addressing not only the war but also social issues via social media. She also sees her song »russia is a terrorist state« as a mantra for all Ukrainians and as a statement for the whole world.
