Two white young men with long brown hair stand respectively to the left and right of a bush whose leaves form large balls at the end of the branches. The two members of the band Walter Astral touch these balls as if presenting the bush, which is in the middle of a park with a pond in the background. The one on the right looks into the camera, wearing a white baseball cap, moustache and chin beard, a grey quilted jacket, black trousers and orange and white trainers. The one on the left looks reverently at the bush, he has a cap on with the shield facing backwards, wears a moustache, a black and white biker jacket, black trousers and brown shoes.

Walter Astral

Walter Astral is already a big deal in France, but practically unknown in this country. We’d like to change that: Walter Astral is an astronomer who roams through parallel universes and dives into wormholes – at least according to Tristan Thomas and Tino Gellis, the musicians hiding behind this pseudonym. Their output straddles the intersection between psychedelic pop and acid techno music. Tristan’s bass and drum machines merge with Tino’s vintage guitar and a banjo so old, it sounds like a saz. Both driven by a love for the absurd, they intertwine their divergent grooves to create a sort of mystical trance. On their first EP »Hyperdruide«, each song captures an element of nature and reflects on the metaphysical questions of human existence: birth, death, creativity and love. A transcendental journey!
