That was it! Pop-Kultur 2023 came to a close on Friday night. And wasn’t it a little bit amazing? Around 10,000 of you came to a total of over 100 events at the Kulturbrauerei, dancing at concerts, giving input at talks, appreciating the commissioned works, and making moves at the »Can I Kick It? Yes, You Can!« programme. Thank you so much for being there and contributing to these moments of togetherness!

Thanks largely to all of you, the festival has sent a strong, positive signal to the cultural sector: »On all three days, we clearly experienced the great joy brought by inspiring music and the current topics surrounding it,« says festival director Katja Lucker. »People are eager for the communal experience that music and discussion can provide. Our audience is open-minded and likes to get involved in our experiments. This is not something we can take for granted, and we consider ourselves lucky that over the years, Pop-Kultur has become an annual institution among the city’s cultural offerings.«
You can already mark the dates in your calendar for next year: the 10th anniversary edition of Pop-Kultur will take place from 28th-30th August 2024. We’re already looking forward to it!
